Indian Masala Egg Omlette

Indian masala omlette as the name suggests is an Indian version of an egg omelette infused with spices and herbs that makes this omelette spicy and flavourful. This is a popular street food served on Indian streets paired with toasted bread. This is a protein-rich, diabetic-friendly & beginner-friendly breakfast recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato, deseeded
  • 1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander Leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chicken Masala Powder (OR Garam Masala)
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil, to pan fry the omelette

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, break 3 eggs.
  • Add finely chopped onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves.
  • Add spices, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, chicken masala powder, black pepper powder and salt. Whisk well.
  • Heat pan, add oil and spread all over the pan.
  • Take a ladle full of omelette mixture and spread it all over the pan.
  • Cook the omelette on a medium flame for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip and cook it from the other side as well.
  • Spicy Indian Masala Omelette is ready.
  • Serve hot with toasted bread and ketchup.

Notes

I have added onion-tomatoes to this omelette, you can add vegetables of your choice or you can totally skip the vegetables and make it by adding only spices and herbs.
Instead of chicken masala, you can add garam masala to this egg batter.
For a vegetarian version, add besan (gram flour) instead of eggs.
