Plain Cheese Toast Sandwich

A plain cheese toast sandwich is one of the easiest snacks that is made in just under 20 minutes! This is a beginner & bachelor-friendly vegetarian recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Cheese (cheddar, montery jack, mozzarella and colby)
  • 8-10 Bread Slices
  • 3-4 tablespoons Butter
  • 4-5 tablespoon Mixed Italian Herbs (thyme, parsley,oregano, dry basil)
  • 1 tablespoon Crushed Black Pepper
  • Salt if required

Instructions
 

  • Spread the cheese evenly on the bread slice. Make sure that the whole bread slice is covered with a generous amount of cheese.
  • Sprinkle mixed Italian herbs(thyme, parsley,oregano, dry basil).
  • Sprinkle chilli flakes and black pepper powder. You may also add salt at this point. (I have not added salt as the cheese itself is salty).
  • Cover the sandwich with another slice of bread.
  • Apply butter evenly on this bread slice.
  • Place the buttered side on the preheated tava/griddle.
  • Apply butter to the remaining slice.
  • Toast for 2-3 minutes or till the bread gets nicely crisp and golden.
  • Turn and toast from the other side. Toast the remaining sandwich in the same way.
  • A simple delicious crispy cheese toast sandwich is ready. Serve with chips and ketchup.

Notes

You can add vegetables too in this cheese sandwich.
You may slice the edges of the bread if you prefer.
