Methi Dal Recipe

Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds & hing

Add curry leaves & ginger-galric paste

Add tomatoes

Cook till tomatoes are soft, add turmeric powder

Add chopped methi leaves & green chillies

Cook methi

Add cooked toordal

Add water to adjust consistency

Add kokum, gul and salt

Add garam masala, coriander powder & red chilli powder

Cook dal for 15 mintues

In tadka pan, heat oil, add cumin seeds & dry red chilli

Add 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder

Pour the tadka over dal and serve with rice or paratha
