Easy South Indian Masala Idli Fry From Leftover Idlis

 We will be using leftover idlis for this recipe.

Cut idlis into small bite-size pieces.

Deep fry these idlis on a medium flame till idlis turn golden brown and crisp.

Fry all the idlis and transfer them onto an absorbent paper.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add hing , finely chopped green chillies and curry leaves. 

Add finely chopped onions and saute till onions are translucent.

 Add finely chopped tomatoes.

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, sambar powder.

Mix the masala and add just 1/4th cup of water so that the masala doesn't burn. Add salt & sugar.

Add the fried idli and mix well with the onion-tomato masala.

Mix idlis with the masala.

Lastly, add freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Crispy & delicious Masala Idli is ready to serve. Serve immediately.
