Amti - Maharashtrian Chincha Gulachi Amti (Sweet & Sour Dal)

Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds & methi seeds.

Add hing (asafoetida)

Add some fresh curry leaves.

Add cooked tuvar dal (pigeon peas).

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder & goda masala.

Add jaggery

Add tamarind pulp.

Add salt to taste & let the curry boil for 5-7 minutes.

Add fresh coconut.

Let the amti boil for another 3 minutes on medium flame.
