Sabudana thalipeeth is a popular Indian flatbread made with sabuana pearls also known as sago pearls (tapioca pearls). This is a gluten-free, no onion no garlic, fasting recipe. In Marathi, we call it Sabudanyache thalipeeth which are usually made for breakfast or as a snack, especially during vrat / upvas (Fasting days). This sabuanda thalipeeth is also called as upvasache thalipeeth or farali thalipeeth. These are made mostly during Navratri, Ekadashi, Mahashivratri and Sankashthi. This very popular dish can also be served as a light meal for dinner as it keeps you full for a long time.
